In this post flickr announced new SafeSearch settings for German users.
German users can now see “moderate” flagged photos, too!
But when somebody flags a photo as restricted, a german user will not see this photo ;-(
Watch this photo - why the hell is this photo flagged as restricted?

From my point of view Flickr understands nothing!
As I wrote in my previous post Flickr is now international. In addition to this Flickr set up their filters.
The following note can be read in the FAQs:
Note: If your Yahoo! ID is based in Singapore, Germany, Hong Kong or Korea you will only be able to view safe content based on your local Terms of Service so won’t be able to turn SafeSearch off.
Cause my Yahoo! ID is based in Germany I’m only be able to view safe content based stuff! But hey - that isn’t cool Flickr!
You cannot restrict your community like that - bullshit!
Take a look at the Flickr Forum post if you want.
UPDATE 2007-06-15 12:39
Here is the official statement from Yahoo! Germany (in german)
Yesterday Flickr announced on his blog that Flickr is now available in seven other languages!
Flickr now speaks seven additional languages: French, German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish and Traditional Chinese.
Furthermore Flickr wrote the following regarding to this great feature.
This is one of our most requested features and one of our longest standing ambitions, so it is thrilling to see it actually happen. Flickr is a global community of people and their pictures, and we hope to better support our non-English speaking members in their languages, as well as their networks of friends and family in the future.
It’s also been one of the largest development projects in our history, with a lot of co-ordination with new Flickr team members and supporters around the world — to everyone, thank you!
How does it work? - here the answer from Flickr
How does it work? Changing your language is as easy as clicking on the language links available at the footer of every page. We’ll remember your selection for your next visit.
If you want further information read the entire entry on the Flickr blog.
Today, I read an entry on heise where was anounced that up to now you can tag your photos on flickr with geodata!
Pretty cool I thought and run as fast as I could to my flickr-account ;-)
The first thing to do was reading the latest blog entries on the flickr blog - and I was flashed!
